Seeking a unique gift? A customized song is an original work of art you can enjoy for years to come! Since 2013, Krista Muir has delivered over a hundred custom Chanson-O-Grammes to those who love her (and Lederhosen Lucil's) unique voice. With a few words or phrases provided by you, Muir divines the melody and mood, crafting a personal, poignant ode in the genre of your choosing. rom folk to punk to new wave to polka and everything in between, Chanson-O-Grammes are tailored to celebrate your stories.

Classic Chanson-O-Grammes are 1-2~ min long and can mark special occasions, celebrate loved ones (pets, friends, crushes, spirits), or take any other form you than think of. Cheer someone in need, offer a romantic gesture, immortalize a family legend or congratulate a friend on a momentous occasion. They could also be odes to your favourite places, concepts - inanimate objects. Krista sings all things!

We've also delivered songs celebrating independent record shop Dogwood Records, written a jingle for Kingston rep cinema The Screening Room as well as commemorate an interactive art installation in a Montréal school.

Lederhosen Lucil is also available to interpret compositions. We are multi-lingual and have written in a variety of languages - French, Spanish, German, Elvish to date. The odd client has even provided the lyrics that we set them to music. 

What does a Chanson-O-Gramme cost? The unique, custom 1-2~minute songs generally take Krista 5 hours to create from start to finish but she often goes above and beyond. This process involves creation of lyrics, melody, arrangement, recording (ukulele/vocals), mixing and delivery. We charge $500*. If you want something more extensive than the questionnaire we would apply the $100/hour rate to ensure she is compensated for the extra hours.

*If you are ordering from Canada e-transfer is the preferred method of payment to ensure the full fee goes to the artist. If you are ordering from the U.S. consider adding an additional $35 to offset fees. Merci!

Public and commercial commissions are also possible. We sing all things! Muir once wrote a 6-minute mini operetta "Kit Operette" that opened in Paris at the Gaieté Lyrique in 2012.

In 2014 Krista was interviewed on CBC's Daybreak for their Valentine's Day edition and several happy patrons gave us permission to share their songs on the radio and through our website. This selection gives you an idea of the kind of artistry - poetry, musicality, humour - we can offer you. Some songs are full on polka kitsch with Lederhosen Lucil at the mic and others Krista channels a dreamy Orbisonesque sound with a baritone ukulele.

Our sound and production skills have evolved over the past 13 years since we first began writing, recording, mixing and releasing Chanson-O-Grammes in 2013 but bringing out the heart and soul of each story to serve these unique songs has remained constant. Ici on chante l'amour!
